Sustainable Wine Talk & Networking at the Farmers Club, Friday, 4th March 2022

Special Thanks:

With over 60 people attending, we were humbled to receive so many interests from our members and the public, including students and tutors from Plumpton Wine College, WSET London and Le Cordon Bleu, wine merchants, producers, and representatives of The Drink Business, Financial Times and many other organisations.

The insightful discussion led by our panel speakers, Chris Foss, Chair of Sustainable Wine GB, Jane Masters MW, Founder of Mastering Wine, Richard Bampfield MW, founding member of Sustainable Wine Roundtable and Wendy Outhwaite QC, co-founder of Ambriel Sparkling

on the topic of sustainable wines, together with such a group of engaging audience, have made the whole evening informative and lively. Among the various aspects discussed were:

What do you think are the key obstacles in bringing sustainability in the wines industry?
What are the current progress the society has done in improving sustainability in the wine industry?
Do you think we are making enough/good progress in driving sustainability in the wine industry and what more should/can be done?

Special thanks also go to Cult Wines, The Uncommon, Wine GB Sustainable Wine, Sustainable Wine Solutions, Sustainable Wine and Draught Drop for making this event possible.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event about sustainable food, farming and hospitality. Follow the latest update from us at IG @thesustainableplace or join our membership here.
